Brookhaven is accepting applications for its fourth Citizen’s Police Academy, a ten-week course that runs Aug. 18 through Oct. 27.

The class is open for those at least 21 years old who live or work in Brookhaven. The goal of the course is to educate the students about law enforcement procedures and policies. A criminal background check will be conducted on applicants. The academy will meet 7 to 9 :30 p.m. Thursdays at the Brookhaven Police Station, 2665 Buford Highway.
