Single intermittent lane closures have begun on State Route 20 between Hurricane Shoals and Reynolds Road in Lawrenceville.
Georgia DOT crews are working to maintain the bridge’s substructure each night. Work will begin with the left lane closed to traffic in each direction. Crews will be removing debris and repairing bridge expansion joints. This work will continue at 9 p.m. nightly until 5 a.m. July 28.
Drivers are asked to slow down and merge as soon as road work ahead signs indicate the traffic shift. This work is being done overnight and workers will be in travel lanes in approved reflective clothing however motorists need to drive alert and watch for workers.
