A Gwinnett County woman has died after she was stabbed multiple times Monday afternoon, police said.

The stabbing happened about 2:30 p.m. during a domestic-related situation at a house at 3865 Crescent Walk Lane in Suwanee, Gwinnett police spokeswoman Michele Pihera said.

The woman, who was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, was found by a family member, Gwinnett police tweeted.

Jesse Louis Bodie, 33, who is wanted in connection with the stabbing, ran from the house he shared with the woman, but police secured the area and hope to find him, Pihera said. SWAT officials checked inside the house.

While Bodie didn’t own a car, Pihera said he may have had access to one. He was reported to be 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds.

A Reverse 911 was issued to the residents in the neighborhood. The statement tells the residents to call 911 if they see Bodie, Pihera said.

If anyone has any information to share in this case or knows of Bodie’s whereabouts, contact GCPD detectives at 770-513-5300. To remain anonymous, tipsters should contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or visit www.crimestoppersatlanta.org
