Eight Braselton residents have been recognized by the Braselton Town Council for completing the first Citizens Academy.

The academy held classes once a month from May through October to give citizens “a comprehensive understanding of each of the town’s departments and missions,” according to a written statement.

The residents were: Gerald Abbott, Don Allen, Doug Callahan, Jill Eisel, Cherie Jackson, Jay Lieberman, Allan Slovin and Candy Sparling.
