Georgia State University student Jacob English of Atlanta is one of five graduate students awarded a 2018 NCAA Graduate Student Research Grant.

Hightower Trail Elementary inducted the 2018-19 HTE Express Postal Officers and Student Workers in a special ceremony held Oct. 29. Students come in early before school to sort and deliver mail written by students and faculty to HTE classrooms. Student Postal Officers lead and oversee the work of student workers. HTE Postal Officers Victoria Arnett, Jayden McClain, Sydney Bratcher, Maryann Thomas, Khamani Hayes, Allison Hart were sworn in with a special oath. Dr. Abigail Hankin-Wei, a physician on the faculty of the Emory University Department of Emergency Medicine recently received the Secretary of State Award for Outstanding Volunteerism Overseas for teaching emergency physicians in Mozambique.
