Arissa Watlington of Fairburn has received an award for scholastic excellence from Post 134 of the American Legion. Watlington, a freshman at North Springs Charter High School, is a cadet private first class in the school's Junior ROTC battalion.

Rebekah Anderson, a senior at Bob Jones University pursuing a Bachelors of Journalism and Mass Communication, was hired before graduation as a communication and change management coordinator at thyssenkrupp Elevator in Alpharetta. Anderson is a resident of Grayson.

Jennifer Hudson, a senior at Bob Jones University pursuing a Bachelors of Graphic Design, was hired before graduation as a graphic designer at Dapper Ink in Greenville, South Carolina. Hudson is a resident of Lilburn.
