Bragbook for March 1

Roswell resident Kathy Floyd, executive director of the Georgia Council on Aging, which advocates for Georgia’s seniors and their families and provides leadership to CO-AGE, the Coalition of Advocates for Georgia’s Elderly, has been named “Outstanding Georgia Citizen” for her work as an advocate for the elderly.

Best in Fair: Timothy Sims Jr., Flat Shoals Elementary; Anthony Davis and James Frazier, Lorraine Elementary. First Place: Gary Borders and Aaden Rolland, Flat Shoals Elementary

Second Place: Elizabeth Lovett and Cassidy Tinsley, Barksdale Elementary School; Olivia Howard and Isabella Henry, C.J. Hicks Elementary; Chase Jones, Hightower Trail Elementary; Cayden Grimes, Mia Sandoval, Yeni Gutierrez and Valarie Macias, J.H. House Elementary; Maxwell Watkins and Miller Watkins, Lorraine Elementary; Talia Barron, D.L. Sims Elementary; Sanai Banner and Carson Pruett, Shoal Creek Elementary.

Maggie Anderson and Eamonn Potts of Marietta graduated from University of Dayton on Dec. 15.

Abdulhamid W Aliyu of Atlanta graduated from Wichita State University in fall 2018.
