Troy University announced graduates of Term 1 of the 2018/2019 academic year: Jameelah Baldwin of Griffin; Mahogany Brown, Trae Owens, Talia Butts and Jaime Curry of Atlanta; Christopher Cooley of Social Circle; Enderica Daniels of Braselton; Meghan Ellison of Cartersville; Shela Harvey of Snellville; Ryan Harvill of Canton; Lisa Heriford and Marshall Irvin III of Conyers; Hannah Moody and Stephanie Reed of Covington; Natasha Stevens of Hampton and Orrea Triplett of Marietta. Term 1 graduates include students at Troy's campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Ala., along with teaching sites outside of Alabama and online.
These local fall graduates of University of North Georgia have earned the designation of Distinguished Military Graduate. These cadets are ranked on the national Order of Merit List by achieving superior grade-point averages, strong performance in the Army physical fitness test, and proving their worth as exceptional leaders in their college ROTC training: Christopher Bissett and Logan Young of Cumming; Hunter Blocher of Pine Mountain; Arthur Brands and Robert Rogers of Marietta; Austin Brumby of Newnan; Matthew Ilao of Dallas; Donald Wescoat of Suwanee and David White of Kennesaw.
Kelli Cochran of Alpharetta graduated from Truett Mcconnell University in December as a psychology major.
Roswell High School junior and JROTC Cadet Anusha Pakkam has scored first place in the Southern Region and third nationally in the 2018-19 JROTC Air Rifle Postal Competition. Pakkam will be competing in February representing Roswell High School JROTC and Fulton County Schools in the Army Service Championship in Anniston, Alabama.
Cleydy Avila of Buford, Andrew Gallagher of Brookhaven and Diego Velazquez of Newnan graduated from Lincoln Memorial University on Dec. 8.
