Jennifer Boudreau of Lawrenceville was part of the Georgia State University team that took first place and won an award for the best use of the Application Programming Interface of EventBrite in the University of Tennessee's VolHacks hackathon competition.

Kalen Patton of Chattahoochee High School competed in the "Who Wants to be a Mathematician?" competition at the Joint Mathematics Meetings conference for the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America.
