The Cherokee County School District Preschool Centers recently received a $500 donation from the sisters of the Gamma Eta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, a national professional society for women educators. Shannon Carroll, center, a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and CCSD Supervisor of Instructional Technology, presented the donation to CCSD Preschool Centers Principal Victoria Thom, left, and Assistant Principal Angela Moody.

Atlanta Technical College recently hosted MANCODE, Microsoft’s technology program designed to introduce coding and opportunities in the tech industry to African American students at an early age. All the instructors for this event were African American males, brought in to emphasize the focus of the event.
