Meshon Williams, the 17-year-old accused in the death of a 6-year-old boy allegedly stemming from a social media feud, was denied bond Friday morning, officials said.
Records show he will now have a probable cause hearing on June 5 at 1 p.m.
Williams is charged with murder in the May 5 shooting of Z’Mari Mitchell in a subdivision off Glenwood Road. Police allege Williams was part of a group of teens who came to the house to confront Z’Mari’s older sister over social media statements, though authorities have so far declined to be specific about the post or posts.

Detectives believe there was a fight between the group and Z’Mari’s sister. As the group was driving away, one car stopped and Williams allegedly pulled a gun and fired 31 shots toward the house, police have said.
Z'Mari's mother, Trisha Mitchell, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution the child had been playing a video game when the fight erupted outside. Just before the gunshots, his sister came inside and tried to shield him from the gunfire.
But a bullet struck his head. He was pronounced dead days later at the hospital.
