The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its March 19 regular meeting to approve a rezoning request involving one acre of land on Hwy 19/41 in Hampton near its intersection with Upper Woolsey Road.

The change is from heavy manufacturing to general commercial zoning for a vehicle rental business. This is an exact reversal of the property’s rezoning in 1997, done at that time for a business that manufactured concrete but has not existed on the site for a few years. The newest zoning matches that of two adjoining properties owned by the same family.

The vote to approve was unanimously approved 6-0
