A DeKalb County Blimpie sandwich shop failed its recent health inspection with concerns over cleanliness.

The restaurant, located at 2680-B Bouldercrest Road, got a 66 on the inspector's report on Tuesday.

Among the violations was the lack of hot water, soap and paper towels at a restroom sink. The inspector also found “heavy black accumulation of mold like substance inside of soda nozzles and food debris...on slicers and can opener,” the report said.

Blimpie supervisor Alga Tessema said Thursday the issues were being addressed.

Restaurants that fail health inspections are generally re-checked within 10 days.
