Elected office: Elected to the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners in November 2008. Lasseter, who represents District 1, said in February she would not seek another term because of recent health problems. She resigned her seat Thursday prior to pleading guilty to federal bribery charges. Prior to that Lasseter served 14 years as Duluth's mayor, from 1993 to 2007.
