Bid for road repair work in Henry County approved

The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its Aug. 21 regular meeting to approve a $996,932.09 expenditure for resurfacing and other work on several county roads.

The approved bid was submitted by Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction. The eight roads slated for improvement and resurfacing, according to county officials, are Meridian Drive, Hayden Court, Stephanie Court, Summer Leigh Drive, Victoria Lane, Leigh Court, Olivia Court and Pates Creek Road. All eight roads are in District 2. The work is funded through the county’s SPLOST.
