The man who robbed a Snellville bank Monday is the same person responsible for three other armed bank robberies in the past five weeks, authorities said.

An armed man entered the SunTrust inside the Publix grocery store in the 1900 block of Scenic Highway North around 11:15 a.m. and announced a robbery, the FBI’s Atlanta Field Office said in a news release. He left with an undisclosed amount of money, getting into an off-white Lincoln sedan with tinted windows and speeding away, the FBI said.

Investigators believe he is the same robber who hit Lithonia banks three times. The Best Bank inside Kroger in the 6600 block of Covington Highway was targeted twice — on Oct. 26 and Nov. 24. In the first robbery, the man dropped the bag of money during his escape, and it was recovered and returned to the bank, authorities said. On Nov. 14, the Best Bank inside Walmart in the 5400 block of Fairington Road was robbed.

The suspect is described as a male in his mid-20s, medium height with a medium build. He was wearing a blue ball cap with white logo and a blue hoodie-style jacket during Monday’s heist.
