Austell will hold a general election Nov. 7 to elect three City Council members.

Qualifying will be held between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 23-25 (closed noon-1 p.m. for lunch) in Suite 107, Austell Threadmill Complex, 5000 Austell-Powder Springs Road, Austell.

The qualifying fee for each Council candidate is $432.

Those elected will serve four-year terms from Jan. 1, 2018 to Jan. 1, 2022.

Potential candidates must be a registered city voter, at least 21 years old and a city and ward resident for one year before qualification.
