Residents have had to find creative ways to stay entertained as Georgia’s shelter-in-place order keeps them in their homes as the world grapples with the coronavirus.

And in some cases, that means altering Easter egg hunts —the time-honored tradition of hiding decorated, hard-boiled eggs or plastic eggs filled with candy in impossible to find spots for kids (and maybe even adults) to find.

Atlantic Station is offering a new twist on the search: a virtual Easter egg hunt hosted on their Instagram page where residents guess where in Atlanta the egg is "hiding."

The first three people who guess the correct location will win a $10 gift card to an Atlantic Station restaurant of their choice. Residents can participate by going to Atlantic Station’s Instagram at 3 p.m. daily to see the hint and guess the location.

Tuesday’s virtual hunt showed an egg outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Monday’s location was the Atlanta Fish Market.

The weeklong event ends Easter Sunday,  when residents can guess where the Golden Egg is for a chance to win a $50 Atlantic Station restaurant gift card.

More information on the virtual Easter egg hunt can be found on Atlantic Station's Facebook page for the event.
