City Council announces 2020 committee appointments
Atlanta City Council President Felicia Moore recently announced 2020 committee chairpersons and appointments during the final full council meeting of 2019, according to a press release.
“I decided to make changes to committee leadership and composition mid-term in consideration of diversity, experience, and geographical representation while also balancing personal preferences,” said Moore. “It is my belief that the forthcoming complement of committees will promote stability, innovation, and the value of veteran insight.”
City Utilities Committee: Natalyn Archibong – Chair, Andrea L. Boone, Joyce Sheperd, Howard Shook, J.P. Matzigkeit, Cleta Winslow and Dustin Hillis
Community Development/Human Services: Matt Westmoreland - Chair, Michael Julian Bond, Carla Smith, Amir Farokhi, Joyce Sheperd, Natalyn Archibong and Antonio Brown.
Public Safety & Legal Administration Committee: Joyce Sheperd – Chair, Carla Smith, Andrea L. Boone, Dustin Hillis, Cleta Winslow, Michael Julian Bond and Amir Farokhi.
Transportation Committee: Andre Dickens – Chair, Jennifer N. Ide, J.P. Matzigkeit, Amir Farokhi, Marci Collier Overstreet, Antonio Brown and Matt Westmoreland

During the meeting, Council Member Michael Julian Bond was announced as the 2020 Pro-Tempore of the legislative body.
