A flood watch went into effect Friday afternoon for areas of north and central Georgia south of a line from Cedartown to Cumming to Homer. All but the far northern suburbs of metro Atlanta are included in the watch, which runs through Saturday afternoon.
After a brief reprieve on Sunday, rain moves back into the state on Monday, and is expected to continue through Tuesday morning, Chandley said. Expect Sunday to be mostly sunny with highs in the mid-60s.
