Be sure to bundle up the kids before sending them out to the bus stop Friday morning. And grab a jacket for yourself.

Most of the Atlanta area and north Georgia will be under a frost advisory until 9 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures are expected to dip into the lower to middle 30s before warming to about 60 degrees by the afternoon, according to Channel 2 Action News chief meteorologist Glenn Burns.

Expect a weekend of typical fall weather, with plenty of sunshine and cooler temperatures, Burns said. Saturday’s high temperature is expected to reach the lower 50s before climbing about 10 degrees Sunday.

No rain is in the forecast for several days. But could Georgia get snow next week?

Depends on what forecasting model you’re looking at, according to meteorologist Brad Nitz. Stay tuned.
