DeKalb County has at least enough salt to last through Saturday, county officials told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Thursday.

The county, which has 2,000 miles of roads, received a shipment of salt from Missouri on Wednesday. It was not the full delivery, but contains enough to get the county through Saturday, county spokesman Burke Brennan said.

DeKalb expects to receive another delivery this weekend.

As of Wednesday, DeKalb had spent more than $48,000 on salt and sand for this storm. In 2010, the county spent $74,800 for salt and sand for the entire year, county records show.

DeKalb crews are still working around-the-clock trying to clear roads, county officials said.
