Soccer and puppies will mix on Wednesday when Atlanta United F.C. players volunteer at two locations for the Atlanta Humane Society.

Players from the Five Stripes will be at the Atlanta Humane Society locations in Midtown and Alpharetta from 3 to 6 p.m.

Miguel Almirón, Greg Garza, Michael Parkhurst and Romario Williams will be at the Alpharetta branch; while Leandro González Pirez, Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu, Chris McCann and Brandon Vazquez will be hanging out with animals in Midtown.

The Midtown location is at 981 Howell Mill Road and the Alpharetta location is at 1565 Mansell Road.

The players are volunteering as part of Major League Soccer’s “MLS WORKS” campaign, where players around the country will be volunteering leading up to Earth Day.

Almirón, Parkhurst and the rest of the Five Stripes will be helping the humane society with cleaning, maintenance and animal care while using sustainable products.

Atlanta United is 4-1-1 this season, coming off a 2-2 draw against NYCFC on Sunday. The game featured an assist from Almirón and goals from Garza and McCann.

The Five Stripes head west this weekend to face Zlatan Ibrahimović and the LA Galaxy on Saturday.
