The city of Atlanta announced the temporary closure of a portion of Trinity Avenue downtown to facilitate construction work at City Hall.

Trinity Avenue is now closed to vehicular traffic between Washington Street SW and Central Avenue SW, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the possibility of some work on Saturdays and Sundays.

The closure is scheduled to last 60 to 90 days.

The city of Atlanta has established the following detour routes for motorists:

Traffic headed eastbound on Trinity Avenue will make a left onto Central Avenue, a right onto Mitchell Street and a right onto Washington Street.

Traffic headed westbound on Trinity Avenue will make a left onto Washington Street, a right onto Memorial Drive and a right onto Central Avenue.
