When Tom Lassally, executive producer of HBO's "Silicon Valley," took the stage to accept the Critics' Choice award for best comedy series Sunday night, "Atlanta" star Lakeith Stanfield pulled a Kanye West-esque move and trolled the crowd.
Stanfield, who plays Darius in the hit FX show, donned a captain's hat and took to the mic to accept the award on Lassally's behalf:
“I want to thank everybody for honoring us in this way. We worked very hard on 'Silicon Valley' and here we are. Thank you," he said.
Stanfield left the stage after his short speech and yielded the mic to Lassally, who was taken aback by the situation but shrugged it off.
"No idea who that was," Lassally said before continuing his own speech.

Stanfield has television critics and social media users comparing Sunday's stunt to Kanye West's penchant for popping up on stage during other people's speeches.
Later that night, Stanfield wrote a string of tweets to address the stunt:
FX's "Atlanta" didn't go home empty-handed Sunday night. Donald Glover, the show's creator and star, won the award for best actor in a comedy series.
