A northwest Atlanta road is closed while crews work on repairs to the CSX railroad bridge, according to a news release.

Defoors Ferry Road between Warren Road and Coronet Way will be closed as crews work to raise the bridge approximately two feet for vehicles to safely pass under, according to the release. There was no timeline given on how long the road will close.

Crews will bore underneath fiber optic lines in the roadway, replace bridge spans and raise the bridge approximately two feet for

Drivers are urged to use, Bolton, Moores Mill and Warren roads as detours.

Ross and Theresa Friedman, of Sandy Springs, used to have a bluegrass band that would play at farmers markets and senior living centers around Atlanta, as well as at other private events.
