Atlanta police release video in search for ATM thieves
Atlanta police released a video Monday that they hope will help them catch a group of ATM thieves.
The surveillance video shows six men breaking into a Family Dollar store in the 2700 block of Lakewood Avenue last Tuesday.
The suspects forced the door open just after 5 a.m., then took turns trying to dislodge the ATM at the front of the store. They successfully removed the machine and carried it out.
The group left the scene in a blue Chrysler van headed toward Metropolitan Parkway, according to the incident report.
