Atlanta police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that hit and killed an Atlanta woman Tuesday morning.

Police said the victim, identified as Cassandra Head, 53, of Atlanta, was using a crosswalk in the 3600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in southwest Atlanta when she was struck at about 6 a.m. by a dark-colored SUV.

The SUV ran a red light, struck Head with the front of the vehicle, and continued east on MLK.

Head died at the scene and was transported to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
