Atlanta police have released a sketch of a suspect in the attempted kidnapping of a 13-year-old boy.

The incident happened just after midnight Feb. 26 at the MARTA bus stop near Hollywood and Johnson roads, police said.

When police responded to the scene, a 13-year-old boy told them that a black male in a purple four-door car pulled up to the bus stop and started talking to him.

The man got out of the car, grabbed the boy and tried to pull him into the vehicle, the boy told authorities. The boy pulled away from him, and the man ran back to his car and left.

Anyone with information on the case should call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477 or Atlanta police investigators at 404-546-4260.
