The city of Atlanta celebrates an expansion of the Relay bike share program 10 a.m. Wednesday at Piedmont Park, 521 Park Dr.N.E. at 10th Street and Charles Allen Drive gate entrance.
The expansion to 500 bikes across 65 locations in Atlanta neighborhoods from 100 bikes at 22 stations comes less than a year after the program started.
The community event will include a formal ceremony, giveaways, food trucks, interactive games for children and an inaugural three-mile bike ride in Piedmont Park on the Atlanta BeltLine and through the Virginia-Highland community.
Sponsors include Georgia’s Own Credit Union and Cyclehop.
