Three suspects — a man, a woman and a juvenile — were arrested Wednesday following the armed robbery of a woman who was responding to a Craigslist ad, Clayton County police said.

Police responded to the incident on Hickory Hollow Lane in Jonesboro around 2:50 p.m.

A woman said she intended to buy a 1993 Toyota Camry that was listed for sale on Craigslist, but the trio robbed her, taking most of the money before fleeing. The woman told Channel 2 Action News on Thursday that the 14-year-old was the one with the gun.

Jonesboro police stopped the suspects’ vehicle a short time later and took them to the Clayton County Police Department for questioning. Police told Channel 2 that the gun was found in the vehicle.

Michael Howard, 19, of Hapeville and Jyneshia Morgan, 21, of Henry County confessed, Clayton County police said.

The 14-year-old did not confess, but did write a letter of apology to the victim, authorities said. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is not naming the juvenile because of his age. He is being tried as an adult, Channel 2 said.

All three are charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault. They are being held without bond.
