Atlanta police have made an arrest in a Jan. 14 shooting that left one man dead and another wounded.

Officers responding to a Jan. 14 gambling call in the 600 block of Boulevard heard gunshots in the area on arrival just after 10 p.m., according to Atlanta police Sgt. Greg Lyon.

“A black male ran to the officers with a gunshot wound to the torso,” Lyon said. That man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

Lyon said a second victim was found at the intersection fo Boulevard and North Avenue, and was taken to Atlanta Medical Center, where he died of a gunshot wound to the torso. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office identified the dead man as Rickey Medrano, 27, of Atlanta.

On Monday, police arrested Marcus Morris, 32, and charged him with murder and aggravated assault.
