Alpharetta city officials have released a list of projects that would be covered by a proposed May 24 bond referendum, with the two largest related to traffic.

A $14.85 million project for road/streetscape improvements along the Rucker Road corridor from Wills Road to the city limits is proposed. It’s aimed at improving safety and traffic flow and providing pedestrian enhancements by narrowing travel lanes and installing sidewalks plus adding trees, planted medians and lighting. A $9 million project is also proposed to lessen traffic congestion along Kimball Bridge Road.

Other proposed bond projects: $6.5 million to extend the Alpharetta Greenway north to Forsyth County, $6 million for new sidewalks and $5.45 million for acquiring parkland.
