Alpharetta and Johns Creek residents will have a chance to comment on the proposed widening of Haynes Bridge Road at two public input meetings in November.

Both meetings are scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. The first, on Tuesday, Nov. 13, will be held at Haynes Bridge Middle School, 10665 Haynes Bridge, Alpharetta; and the second, on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Park Place, 3125 Old Alabama Road, Johns Creek.

The $5 million undertaking, a joint project by Alpharetta and Johns Creek, will be funded by the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax approved by Fulton County voters in November, 2016.

Plans call for widening the two-lane section of Haynes Bridge to four vehicle lanes, with accommodations for pedestrians and bicycles, from Old Alabama to Mansell roads. To view concept designs and provide input online: https://bit.ly/2zbyXsl
