Police have given the all-clear signal after investigating a suspicious package Monday morning at a Wal-Mart store in northwest Atlanta.

According to Atlanta police dispatchers, a medium-size black suitcase was left on the first level of the parking deck at the Wal-Mart on Howell Mill road shortly after 8:30 a.m.

The store was not evacuated while police and fire officials investigated the suitcase, which Atlanta police Sgt. Greg Lyon said turned out to be empty.
