A Levi's Call alert issued by Gwinnett County police early Monday was canceled a few hours later when a 5-year-old boy allegedly abducted by his father was found safe.

"The child has been located in Forsyth County and is fine," Gwinnett police Cpl. Edwin Ritter said. He said the suspect is in police custody and facing charges.

According to the Levi's Call, which is Georgia's version of the Amber Alert, police had feared the the boy was in "extreme danger," and that the child and his father were possibly headed toward Mexico in a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500.
