Family Community Cleanup
Keep DeKalb Beautiful and the city of Lithonia will host the Second Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Family Community Cleanup. Community service certification will be available for qualifying residents participating in this event.

Acworth community service
Acworth Achievers Mentoring and After School Program invites volunteers to join them in working on a service project in the community.

City of Stone Mountain cemetery clean up
The project for the day will be cleaning up a historic cemetery in the Shermantown section of the Village. The cemetery has become overgrown with trees and foliage. Participants are encouraged to bring gloves, clippers and water. Boots are also recommended.

Shredding event in Sandy Springs
Keep North Fulton Beautiful volunteers will be assisting in a shredding event - directing traffic, accepting recyclable materials, and assisting at shredding truck.
Volunteers must be 12 years of age with adult supervision. Court-ordered volunteers are permitted. This project site is accessible for wheelchair users.
When: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Volunteering session
Crossroads Hospice invites area residents to embody the spirit of service on the day we honor the Rev. Martin Luther King.
Special crafts sessions will be hosted at the Crossroads Hospice headquarters in Tucker, giving volunteers the chance to create personalized Valentine’s Day or Thank You cards for Veterans.
