The Airport West Community Improvement District has new leadership to deliver its first-ever public safety programs and strengthen overall project development success.
The AWCID has hired Jon Antoine and Kirsten Berry to serve in the newly created posts of public safety director and program director.
Antoine is responsible for all AWCID-related public safety matters, including security patrols, community security task force efforts and coordination between businesses and area law enforcement. Berry will lead all AWCID projects and coordinate efforts with the appropriate agencies and departments across all government levels.
Antoine has more than 20 year of law enforcement experience with the Clayton County District Attorney’s Office, Clayton County Sheriff’s Office and Clayton County Police Department. He received his master’s degree in public administration from Columbus State University, bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Saint Leo University and law enforcement training in multiple states.
Berry has years of experience as a senior transportation planner and project manager in the private sector, and she will utilize her experience in project planning, as well as management and economic impact studies to meet the needs of the AWCID. She graduated with a master’s degree in city and regional planning from Georgia Institute of Technology and she is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.
