Acworth officials have opened an expansion to Logan Farm Park, 4405 Cherokee St., Acworth, the park’s main entrance, with a ribbon cutting by Mayor Tommy Allegood.

The 14-acre park expansion includes additional multi-use pathways, open green space, a destination playground, a group pavilion, a restroom facility and parking.

This entrance is a short distance from Acworth’s historic downtown shopping district and restaurants.

The 120-acre park encompasses the parks formerly known as Terrace Drive Park and Tanyard Creek Park.

Logan Farm Park includes a nature trail that connects to Cowan Road, Terrace Drive, Cherokee Street, School Street and McClain Circle.

Park hours are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
