Acworth opens Amos Durr Field

Acworth officials opened the renovated Amos Durr Field on Wednesday.

A part of Logan Farm Park, the field at 4733 School St. is named in honor of a long-time city employee and deacon at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Renovations included laser grading, new sod, a high-tech lighting system, an irrigation system and a fence.

The project was funded though a Community Development Block Grant.
