A 21-year-old Acworth man was killed Tuesday morning when the minivan he was driving ran off the road and struck a utility pole and a tree near Town Center Mall in Kennesaw, police said.
Anthony Kuria Muthondu was pronounced dead at the scene on Town Center Drive about 300 yards east of Busbee Parkway, according to the Cobb County Police Department.
Muthondu was westbound on Town Center Drive in a red 1997 Plymouth Voyager at about 11 a.m. when for reasons unknown he lost control of the vehicle, police said.
Cobb’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program unit is investigating. Anyone with information that could assist investigators in the case is asked to call police at 770-499-3987.
