Rezoning was approved Thursday for a 20-acre subdivision and annexation of one acre by the Acworth Board of Aldermen.

Realtor Skip Harper requested the rezoning from a mixed-use development to allow the 53-lot single-family detached houses.

The $300,000 houses will be 2,500 to 3,000 square feet.

This property is being sold by NorthStar Church, 3413 Blue Springs Road, Kennesaw.

The one-acre annexation from Cobb at 3187 Blue Springs Road is a part of the subdivision.

Of the 20 acres, 35 percent will be green space, including a playground, walking trails and workout stations that will connect to around 12 acres belonging to NorthStar Church.
