Know a Gwinnett County road that needs to be widened? An intersection that needs a turn signal? A community that would benefit from mass transit? A street that needs sidewalks? Gwinnett County wants to hear from you.

Gwinnett is hosting a series of public meetings to solicit opinions about the county’s long-term transportation needs. Two are scheduled in the next few days:

*10 a.m. to noon Saturday (March 19) at the Shorty Howell Park Activity Building, 2750 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth.

*6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday (March 21) at Snellville City Hall, 2342 Oak Road SW.

More hearings will be held later this month and in April.

Residents can take an online transportation survey. To take the survey and for more information about Gwinnett's transportation plan, visit www.destination2040gwinnett.com.
