Sandy Springs City Hall will be closed from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. today in honor of Eva Galambos, the city’s founding mother, who died Sunday.
Funeral services for Galambos will be held at 1 p.m. at Temple Kehillat Chaim. Sandy Springs will stream the funeral service in the Council Chambers at City Hall. For those unable to travel, the service also will be streamed live here.
Galambos, 87, died Sunday of cancer. She spent more than 30 years leading the fight to incorporate the city and served as its first mayor before retiring in 2013.
