Steeply discounted traffic tickets were too good to be true in DeKalb County.

A $25 court cost fee on each ticket has been reinstated after revenue plunged over the last year.

Even with the fee, traffic tickets are still cheaper than they were a year ago after the court lowered fines for offenses from speeding to aggressive driving.

But the court cost fee is back. With 90,000 traffic tickets issued a year, the fee could raise about $2.25 million annually.
