Hampton says ‘yes’ to Sunday alcohol sales

Hampton residents overwhelmingly voted Tuesday to allow alcohol sales on Sunday.

“I’m for alcohol sales on Sunday,” Hampton resident Brittany Langford, 28, said Wednesday. “It’s a great revenue source for the state.”

Hampton, which straddles the Clayton-Henry county line, was among the last towns in the area to sign on to Sunday alcohol sales.

Hampton has just over 7,000 residents.
