Gwinnett County commissioners voted to pay a Lawrenceville couple $350,000 after the Sugarloaf Parkway extension caused extensive damage to their property.

“It has been one of the most exhausting, stressful issues I’ve ever dealt with,” said Judy McManus, whose trees were killed and fished were washed away by the damage. “It’s been very hard.”

The couple, who said the damage made their house unsellable, sued in 2010. To read more about the settlement, click here.
