Fulton County commissioners this week adopted a new strategic plan, designed to create greater accountability for the work leaders are doing.

The plan, which lays out strategies for the next three years, was approved by commissioners Wednesday. Fulton Chairman John Eaves said it "provides a framework" for the county to move forward.

The plan’s tenets are that:

* All People are Safe.

* All People are Healthy.

* All People are Self-Sufficient.

* All People have Economic Opportunities.

* All People’s Lives are Culturally and Recreationally Enriched.

* All People Trust Government is Efficient, Effective and Fiscally Sound.
