Family split over Gissendaner’s scheduled execution

They were once one family but they are now divided over whether Kelly Gissendaner should be executed Tuesday for the 1997 murder of her husband.

Two of her three grown children have turned to social media to plead for their mother’s life.

At the same time, the adult children’s grandparents want justice for Douglas Gissendaner, stabbed to death by Kelly Gissendaner’s then-lover. Justice to them means Kelly Gissendaner dies by lethal injection.
