Voters can cast their ballots early this week for the DeKalb County Commission runoff between Greg Adams and Randal Mangham.

The winner of the race will represent about 350,000 people in Super District 7, which covers residents in the eastern half of the county including Doraville, Tucker, Stone Mountain, Lithonia, Stonecrest and surrounding unincorporated areas.

Adams, an Emory University police officer, and Mangham, an attorney, received the most votes of nine candidates on the ballot during the Nov. 8 general election.

Early voting for the Dec. 6 runoff is being held from Monday through Friday at the DeKalb Voter Registration & Elections Office at 4380 Memorial Drive.

Voters will report to their regular neighborhood precincts to cast ballots on Election Day.

The race is being held to replace former DeKalb Commissioner Stan Watson, who resigned in March to run for county tax commissioner.
